I just wrote a nice little algorithm to find n frequencies per octave across a range. Check it out.

startFreq = 10
while(startFreq < endFreq){
for(i = 0; i < dataPoints; i++){

freq = startFreq + startFreq*i/dataPoints;
// do something with frequency

}
startFreq *= 2
}

I attended the Music Summit Music Hackathon with 3 of my fellow MuE students and an alumni. Together we created the pseudo company Tripstr. Tripstr was selected as a semi-finalist resulting in our idea being pitched to the attendees of Music Summit. The app utilizes the Echo Nest and Spotify APIs to curate a playlist based on the user's location. Users are prompted with artists from the area they are currently in, or may select from a list of popular genres from the area.

I was accepted to give a demonstration at the 135th AES convention in New York. Here's a link to the AES write up.
